Glassblowing 1 #2: Shapes

tags: class blown solid flower bowl
This class started with some practice gathers and trying to let glass drip down as far as possible without hitting the floor.
Next, we made pint glasses. Each was blown into a mold, then the bottom was shaped and it was transferred to a punty. Once on the punty, we opened up the glass and (poorly) shaped up the lip with jacks.

I tried to put a row of color down the middle. It didn't go very well.

You can tell these are hand made.
Then Jen had to leave early, so I made a bowl, which was a lot like the pint glass but more round and thinner. The color is just a blob of red that looked like it might be worth trying.
