We barely digested half of what Chris taught us when we had a tutor session with Ellen. Ellen taught us how to recover a dropped object; got me to finally get the timing of flashes; and her love of experimenting with color was infectious. Of course, now with multiple instructions we entered the world of dealing with multiple opinions. I for one, still love the shortcut Chris showed us for puntis - marble and snip!

I have a funny habit of going from the marver to heating.

In my defense, I'm usually assessing the object with the support of the marver. However, the marver can be an uneven heat suck (especially these marvers that have rust patches) so the habit must go. Instead I learned to use the cooler more on the part I want to hold so that I can get closer to the object for inspection.

This last video illustrates the challenge of explaining to someone what to do. "Fix it," they say. But the question is "how" Devil in the details and all that.
