This year's summer vacation was glass camp: a week of intensive glassblowing. It started on the preceding Friday with a lesson from Chris Watts.
He showed us how to make cylinders if you're good at this, and a new technique for them called the Seattle Dump:
- Get some glass.
- Get some more glass.
- Block it into shape.
- Equalize heat.
- Put a starter bubble in it.
- Marver at a 30° angle.

- Blow.

- Heat the crap out of it.
- Dump at a bench.

- Baby the head up to level and blow it out.
Or sometimes just blow it out.
Also...be careful when gathering.
