Mold no more

You might have noticed we stopped using the pint glass mold. Someone told us it was crup so we've moved to trying without it.
Note regarding creating a pint glass with a mold...it involves taking a pipe with a ball of glass with a baby bubble in it and sticking it into a wood hinged box. Then a person, perched on a rickety box, blows into the pipe. What happens? If all's well, then the bubble of molten glass expands in the wooden box. When do you stop? Well. When the person down with their face next to the smoldering box sees enough smoke coming out and has a reasonable fear that the bubble will explode. Perverse incentives there.
One thing we learned using the mold...make sure the pipe tip is above the top of the mold opening. And get the puppy back in the bucket or you end up forgetting.
